THE ALL-NEW 2019 RDX

Everything We Ever Imagined

The 2019 Acura RDX fully embodies our new design, with turbocharged performance and an onslaught of premium features available. Dynamic torque vectoring sharpens handling and delivers exhilarating confidence in virtually all weather and road conditions.

Technology and Performance at Every Level

Most extensive overhaul in a decade signals the beginning of a new era for Acura.

  • Powerful Acceleration
The 2019 RDX is powered by a direct-injected VTEC® Turbo 2.0-liter engine, producing an impressive 272 horsepower. The new engine connects to a segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission with refined shifts controlled by a compact electronic gear selector and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
  • SH-AWD Precision Handling
The available Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system enhances high-performance handling. The chassis sports an all-new suspension and available Adaptive Damper System. All RDX models feature the NSX-inspired Integrated Dynamics System offering four exhilarating drive modes including: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Snow.
  • Spacious Driver-First Cabin
A tech-savvy cabin provides class-leading space and newly designed sport seats with up to 16-way power adjustment. Standard Apple Carplay integration amplifies audio through an available 16-speaker ELS Studio® 3D system. All models come with an ultra-wide panoramic power-adjustable moonroof and floating center console.

Luxe Appeal

Every detail of the 2019 Acura RDX is designed, engineered and tested to put you confidently in charge.

  • Evocative New Design
Designers adapted the low, wide presence of the Precision Concept to a five-seat SUV. It's the first model designed around our bold Diamond Pentagon Grille. The new RDX A-Spec is also the first-ever Acura SUV with distinctive sport appearance upgrades, including gloss black accents and Shark Gray 20-inch alloy wheels.
  • Precision Cockpit
The new RDX features a sophisticated, driver-centric cabin with authentic, high-grade materials and new technologies like the True Touchpad Interface. The touchpad uses one-to-one mapping with the 10.2-inch full-HD display. It’s the industry’s most intuitive audio and information control system.

Safety Built In

Acura's philosophy is simple – safety performance for everyone. That's why there's a generous list of driver assistance systems that come standard in every 2019 Acura RDX. Drive with confidence from AcuraWatch™ technology including Collision Mitigation Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist.

  • COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM™ (CMBS™) 1
Helps bring your RDX to a stop by automatically applying brake pressure when the system determines a frontal collision is unavoidable.
  • ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM (RDM) 2
RDM can determine if you cross over detected lanes without signaling and can even provide steering and braking assistance to help you stay in your lane.
  • FORWARD COLLISION WARNING (FCW) 3
The FCW system can help sense the presence of vehicles in front of you, and if it calculates that you're at risk of colliding with a detected vehicle, it activates audible and visible alerts.
  • LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW) 4
A small camera searches for lane markings on the road. If it detects the driver making an unindicated lane departure, visual and audible alerts will signify the departure.
  • LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM (LKAS) 5
Long highway drives are easier with LKAS, which subtly adjusts steering to help keep the RDX centered in a detected lane.
  • ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) 6 WITH LOW-SPEED FOLLOW
ACC helps you maintain a set following interval. After stopping, a tap on the throttle instructs the car to continue maintaining the desired interval between the vehicles

[1]Depending on the circumstances, CMBS may not go through all the alert stages before initiating the last stage (of collision mitigation). CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by high interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
[2]Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use and can apply mild steering torque to assist driver in maintaining proper lane position and/or brake pressure to slow the vehicle's departure from a detected lane. RDM may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
[3]Forward Collision Warning (FCW) cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. FCW does not include a braking function. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
[4]Lane Departure Warning (LDW) only alerts drivers when lane drift is detected without a turn signal in use. LDW may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
[5]LKAS only assists driver in maintaining proper lane position when lane markings are identified without a turn signal in use and can only apply mild steering torque to assist. LKAS may not detect all lane markings; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road condition. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
[6]Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed follow cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed, and other factors. ACC should not be used in heavy traffic, poor weather, or on winding roads. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
